If you have experienced a miscarriage, you wear what I call a sash. A garment of both beauty and grief, strength and sorrow, despair, yet stitched throughout, strands of hope. Each sash is different. Each bears a unique name. But every sash deserves to be worn, and shared, and celebrated.
I wear three sashes and also have two beautiful daughters: Birdie, and her little sister, Georgia. We spend our days at home, together, along with their father, my constant support and better half.
Our family may look small from the outside, but our story tells of a larger one. One that has lost and gained. One that has been given and had taken away. But through it all, without a shadow of a doubt, we remain blessed beyond words.
